Transgroup Membership and Activity in International and Regional Transport Organizations

The role of international and national transport organizations becomes more important in the modern world. They monitor activity in the area of international cargo forwarding. Their main tasks are not only to develop and promote improvements in transportation processes but also to eliminate obstacles in transportation and forwarding activities. Transgroup company is a member of Belarusian Association of International Motor Carriers, Belarusian Association of International Freight Forwarders and International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA).

At the beginning of 2006 Transgroup became an individual member of FIATA.

The main goals of FIATA are to:
- Adopt measures in order to make forwarding more efficient;
- Represent, promote and defend interests of the industry by being a councilor or an expert during international meetings that are engaged in transport activities;
- Inform trade and production enterprises about services rendered by forwarding agents by spreading information, printed or electronic data;
- Improve quality of services that are offered by forwarding agents by elaboration and promotion of unified transportation documents, standardized trade customs;
- Contribute to professional education of forwarding agents including resolving issues of liability insurance, electronic competence, electronic data exchange, bar coding.

FIATA has elaborated and submitted to approval to International CommerceChamber and other international organizations as well as introduced into practice a number of forwarding documents that are now widely used and acknowledged as a prove of high reliability and professionalism of a forwarding agent.

Belarusian Association of International Motor Carriers was founded in 1992. Its main goal is to contribute to the development of international transportation in Belarus and to render assistance in protection of international forwarders interests. 

Belarusian Association of International Freight Forwarders aims at rendering services and assistance to forwarders in organization of transportation processes.

At the end of April 2006 the results of the annual national contest ‘Forwarder of the Year 2006’ were summed up. The employee of Transgroup company, Dmitry Sobolevskij, became a winner in ‘Young Forwarder who Achieved High Professionalism’ nomination. This victory proved once again that experience, knowledge, managerial abilities are the key factors of success. Our company is proud of this fair victory and wishes Dmitry bright career and luck.

Other organizations that are engaged in transportation activities and forwarding services are European Conference of Ministers of Transport, International Road Federation, International Council of Customs Cooperation, International Customs Cooperation Council, International Road Union.
